In this lab, you will memorize the words to 16 gospel hymns. In most cases, the 1st and 2nd verses will be used, and in some cases, the chorus or refrain will be used. The tests will require you to reproduce retracted words from the songs. The words you must reproduce must be spelled correctly. Music is a powerful tool created by God to glorify himself and to encourage and to challenge us as Christians. The old-time hymns and songs are priceless to the church and to God’s saints.
